" the up and downs in the journey of life. "
Life, symbolized by the circle, embodies the "cycle of life" concept, acknowledging its beauty and challenges. The design incorporates curved walls at the beginning, obscuring the view to simulate the unknown future. The path, resembling life stages, starts narrow, mimicking birth, transitions through comfort, descends into struggles, and hits a low point, mirroring life's difficulties.
Navigating through symbolic mazes signifies feeling lost, yet rays of light offer hope in the darkness. The journey continues through a spiral staircase, representing anticipations and adaptations to challenges. A descending ramp, marked by light and shadows, prompts reflection and concludes with the realization that life, with its ups and downs, is transient, except for the enduring legacy beyond death.

overview

comfortability
Upon entering the structure, users traverse a narrow and constricted entrance symbolizing the commencement of life. Along the path, bamboo on the right establishes a link with nature, while curved grey brick walls on the left obstruct sight, promoting heightened attentiveness to the surroundings and invoking a heightened sense of awareness.
uncertainties
After turning the corner, users follow a descending spiral path along a concrete walkway, symbolizing the challenges encountered after leaving their comfort zone. Reaching the structure's lowest point, a series of mazes with rugged concrete walls awaits. Although this space has lower light intensity, it allows rays of light to permeate, offering a glimmer of hope to users in the darkness and establishing a connection between the interior and exterior.

adaptation
At the highest level, an ongoing series of mazes symbolizes users' heightened awareness and adaptation to the situation, navigating twists, turns, and fluctuations. The roof is absent, revealing the contents to the sky, and the sun's rays quicken users' pace as they transition into another space.

reflectance
Users exit through a descending steel flooring ramp, with timber louvres on the left creating a consistent play of lights and shadows on the pathway, allowing reflection without disruptions. Guiding users to the realization that "it was not as bad as it seems," the design gently leads them out of the structure.
